Welcome to the "Around the World in 80 Ways" gallery. This is a collection of original pictures of Africa, Australia and New Zealand taken in 2001 to 2002.
The images have been created from original photographs taken by my partner and myself. I have then used digital image manipulation software to enhance and prepare the images for printing on to canvas and fine art papers.

A Lazy Day in Lazy Bay.
This is composite image of two photographs taken by my partner and muse, Julie. The photographs were taken in the same bay in Watamu, a wonderful little beach resort on the Kenyan coast.
The canvas prints of these images depict a solitary African boy enjoying the simple pleasures of African beach life under an imposing, panoramic cloudscape.

View of a Lost World.
This is a merged image of three photographs taken overlooking the Ngorongoro Crater in Tanzania, Africa. Ngorongoro is a prehistoric volcano that has collapsed in on itself creating a vast crater. The crater has developed its own eco-system that is a microcosm of East African scenery and game.
The canvas prints show a vast panoramic view of the Ngorongoro crater, almost cut off from the outside world by its imposing 600 metre high wall.

This is a composite image of two photographs taken in and around the savannah of the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania, Africa. The Serengeti is world famous for it's wildlife, which includes the easily panicked zebra.
These canvas prints represent the continuous flow of mammal life across the majestic plains of the Serengeti savannah, under a dramatic, panoramic cloudscape.

This is composite image of two photographs taken on the savannah of the Serengeti National Park, Tanzania, Africa. The Serengeti has an abundance of natural wildlife, the most stunning being the African Elephant.

Sunrise on the Edge of the Rim.
This photograph was taken on the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater at dawn. After a restless night of bush pig attacks and zebra eyes in the night, we were greeted by the most spectacular sunrise.
The canvas prints show the sunrise in its full glory, with a backdrop of the morning mist rolling in over the opposite rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, and the beautiful silhouetted Baobab Tree.

Spice Island Sunset.
This photograph was taken at sunset from the north shore of Zanzibar, Tanzania, Africa. Zanzibar is an island in the Indian Ocean, known throughout the globe for it's long and historical links to the spice trade.
The setting for these canvas prints is a striking panoramic cloudscape above a tranquil sea, enticing the viewer deep into the magnificent sunset.
